<br />AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING AN OFFICW. MAP OF PROPOSED
<br />S1REETS WITlUN THE CI1Y OF ELK RIVER
<br />: The ,city Co~ci~ of the City of Elk River does hereby ordain as follows:
<br />Section 1. Findings of Fact. '
<br />a. The City of Elk River Planning Commission, on February 15, 1996,adopt-
<br />~ and recommend~d for approval by the Elk River City Council the City of Elk
<br />liver ComprehensIve 'Iransportation Plan, dated November 1995.
<br />b. The City of Elk Jli~er Planning Commission and City Co~ncil have adopted
<br />. Comprehensive Plan for the City of Elk River, dated December 18, 1995.
<br />c. The City Council of the City of Elk River adopted, in May, 1997, the East
<br />:lk River Urbl\Il Service Area Planning Study. .
<br />I d. ~ Noyember, 1995 'Iransportation Plan, an.d the May, 1997 Planning
<br />.tudy, Identify the need for a new collector street m the East Elk River Area
<br />rom 171stAvenue North to CSAH 12, and relocation ofCSAH 13 to align with
<br />he new collector street. .
<br />e. 9n Octob~r 6, 1997 at 6:0~ p.m. t~e Elk River City Council, pursuant to duly
<br />,ublished notice, held a 'pub~c hearmg on a pr~~osed Official Map of the pro-
<br />losed new streets, at which tIme all persons desInng to be heard were given an
<br />pportunity to be heard.
<br />~ection 2. Adoption of ~p. :r'he map which is attached hereto, and which
<br />I hereby made a part of this ordinance by reference, showing existing streets,
<br />rOP?Bed fut~e. streets, the area needed for widening existing streets, and the
<br />)catIon. of eXlStmgand fut';ll"e public streets within the City, is hereby adopted
<br />n.d deSIgnated as the OffiCial Map of the portion of the City shown on the map.
<br />'lie proposed future streets descnbed on such Official Map are as follows:
<br />Proposed construction of 1.25 miles of new high~density collector street from
<br />71st Avenue North to CSAH 12 and proposed relocation of 0.5 mile of CSAH 13
<br />)' align with the proposed collector street at CSAH 12.
<br />Section 3. Publication. The city clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
<br />ublish this ordinance and map in accordance with law and to file a certified
<br />~y of this ordinance and map in the office of the Sherburne County recorder.
