City of ver July 3, 1996 Adjacent Property Owners of 554 4th Street Elk River, MN 55330 Dear Homeowner: In order to serve you better, your Fire Department will be conducting a training session on August 3, 1996. The Elk River Fire Department will be conducting a live burn training session which will include total demolition of a building by burning. The location of this training session is the St. Andrews old convent home. Located at 554 4th Street, Elk River, Minnesota. The Elk River Fire Department is informing you of this training session so you will not be surprised when you see your Fire Department in your area on this date. This will be a great opportunity for you to see the Elk River Fire Department at work, learning new techniques and skills to better protect you and your property. We would like to remind you to take appropriate action to protect your car, laundry if outside, and other items that may come in contact with smoke or other particles. We would also like to remind you to keep your windows closed if you smell smoke in your area. If you are not going to be at your residence or property at the time of the training session, please remember to make arrangements to have your windows closed. The Elk River Fire Department will be barricading the following areas starting at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 3, for the training session to be held at the St. Andrews Convent Home. The areas to be barricaded are as follows: 4th Street and Irving Avenue, 4th Street and Holt Avenue, 4th Street and Gates Avenue. During the time of the training session, residents will be capable of leaving their residence at any time during the exercise.
