As shown, Minnesota utilities' forecasts project an <br />average annual growth rate of approximately 2.5 percent through 2020. Based on this growth <br />rate, nearly 6,300 megawatts of new generation will be needed to serve Minnesota customers <br />by 2020. <br />9 <br />
