ITEM 5.8. <br /> <br />ity of <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />Mayor and City Council <br /> <br />Kendra Lindahl, Zoning Assistan <br /> <br />July 15, 1996 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Code Administration Update <br /> <br />This is just an update on the various code complaints city staff has received. <br />Attached is a copy of the complaint case spreadsheet. The shaded cases have <br />either been resolved or were not in violation of any ordinance. <br /> <br />The City has 7 unresolved cases from 1995, and we have received 36 new <br />complaint cases in 1996. <br /> <br />1995 Complaint Cases <br />Of the 7 remaining cases from 1995, only three of them are expected to be <br />resolved in the near future: <br />1. Case #95-17 may be resolved due to the fact that the former occupant has <br /> moved. <br />2. Case #95-59 will be resolved when the second phase of Mississippi Oaks is <br /> completed. <br />3. Case #95-67 should be in compliance by the end of the month when the <br /> required trees are expected to be planted. <br /> <br />Case 95-31 <br />The other four cases are unlikely to be resolved in the near future. One case <br />that causes staff particular concern is Case #95-31. This is an issue where a <br />site plan for outdoor storage was approved in July 1995. However, the <br />applicant never complied with the approved site plan and has essentially <br />been operating a junk yard on this site. Staff has been in regular contact <br />with the property owner. Staff has been working with property owner to <br />achieve compliance with the ordinance regulating outdoor storage. <br /> <br />The property owner has done a tremendous amount of grading on the site <br />without a permit. This has caused run-off problems for the adjoining <br />property owner and the wetland on this site. There are a number of other <br /> <br />13065 Orono Parkway · P.O.
