Per our discussion, I'm passing along a request on behalf of Elk River Extreme Motor Park (ERX) for permission to place a sign on our property along Highway 169. I understand that the current interim use regulations do not allow signs, but as I mentioned in our discussion earlier today, we would respectfully ask for special consideration for this considering both the special nature of our operation, as well as the fact that there are other businesses in this regulated area that currently have signs in place. It is my understanding that you will take this request to the Elk River City Council and ask that they consider it. We are just two months away from our first scheduled event, so we would greatly appreciate anything that you and the council could do to expedite this process.
