Other Projects Under Consideration for 2009 <br />Through the CIP discussion, staff will present several projects for the Council's <br />consideration for 2009. These include the reclaiming and overlaying of Main Street from <br />downtown to the Orono bridge; reconstruction of the roadways south of Main Street in <br />the Evans Avenue, 2"d Street, Freeport Avenue, and Railroad Drive area; and the <br />reconstruction or reclaiming of bituminous surfaces in the area south of Main Street in <br />the Norfolk, Morton, Lowell, King and Angel Avenue area. In addition, the CIP has the <br />reconstruction and lengthening of a right-turn lane at the intersection of Main Street and <br />TH 169. <br />8. Miscellaneous <br />I would recommend that after the two highway studies are complete, that a review of the <br />City's Comprehensive Transportation Plan be undertaken to ensure that the city's plan is <br />compatible with the two highway studies and the recently-completed Sherburne County <br />Transportation Update.
