Park and Ride Facilities <br /> <br />The City recognizes the need for park and ride facilities due to a substantial resident population <br />commuting to a workplace in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. The impending population <br />growth will require the development of additional facilities strategically located within the City. <br /> <br />E. NECESSARY ACTIONS <br /> <br />1. Designate proposed roadways on the City's transportation plan. <br /> <br />2. Coordinate efforts with Sherburne County and Minnesota Department of Transportation. <br /> <br />3. Establish budget for acquisition and improvement of collector streets. <br /> <br />4. Include corridors in the City's capital improvement program and modify the municipal <br /> aid system in accordance with transportation system. <br /> <br />5. Require appropriate land dedications or improvements as surrounding properties are <br /> developed. <br /> <br />6. Amend subdivision regulations to require urban street design. <br /> <br />7. Complete Minnesota Department of Transpodation corridor study for U.S. Highways 169 <br /> and 10. <br /> <br />8. Adopt a long range Transpodation Plan consistent with goals and policies of the <br /> Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br /> <br />
