Local Streets <br /> <br />The local street system is deployed within the grid of collectors and arteries. The intent of this <br />plan is to ensure a complete and interconnected street system. All plats will display the location <br />of streets that connect with existing or proposed streets adjacent to the subject property. <br /> <br />3. Parkway System Trails <br /> <br />The City desires to provide an interconnected parkway system including a trail system for non- <br />motorized transportation. Portions of the trail system will be incorporated into the existing and <br />proposed corridor system comprised of off-street surfaces. <br /> <br />4. Frontage Roads <br /> <br />The plan calls for frontage roads and limited access along U.S. Highways 10 and 169. The <br />purpose of this transportation plan element is to enhance traffic safety along the City's ma]or <br />thoroughfares. <br /> <br />5. PubliC Transport <br /> <br />Although public transit is not provided by the City or other transit companies, there is a <br />perceived need for such services. The City encourages private transit companies to provide <br />necessary intra- and inter- urban services. Connections are necessary to major local and <br />metropolitan activity centers for shopping, employment, transpodation. Specifically, there is a <br /> <br /> <br />
