Bidder <br />Triple Combination Pumper Specifications for the s Complies <br /> <br />City of Elk River Minnesota Yes No <br />The manufacturer shall operate a Quality Management System under the requirements of ISO <br />9001. These standards sponsored by the "International Organization for Standardization <br />(ISO)" speci£y the quality systems that shall be established by the manufacturer for design, <br />manu£acture, installation and service. A copy of the certificate of compliance shall be included <br />with the bid. <br />SINGI~E SOURCE MANUFACTURING <br />In order to protect the Purchaser from divided warranty responsibility between chassis and <br />body manufacturers, proposals will only be accepted from apparatus builders who assemble the <br />complete apparatus at their own facility. The bidder shall provide evidence that they comply <br />with this requirement. <br />APPROVAL DRAWING <br />A drawing of the proposed apparatus shall be provided for approval before construction <br />begins. The sales representative shall also have a copy of the same drawing. The finalized and <br />approved drawing shall become part of the contract documents. This drawing shall indicate <br />the chassis make and model, location of the lights, siren, horns, compartments, major <br />components, etc. <br />The pre-build conference, with a maximum a three (3) Fire Department apparatus committee <br />members, shall be held at the factory at the expense of the successful bidder. The drawings <br />shall be available for the meeting. <br />A "revised" approval drawing of the apparatus shall be prepared and submitted by the <br />manufacturer to the purchaser showing any changes made to the approval drawing. <br />WARRANTY <br />Each piece of new fire or rescue apparatus shall be warranted to be free from defects in <br />materials or workmanship under normal use and service. Each manufacturer shall supply, as a <br />part of their bid package, a copy of the warranty or warranties that they propose to provide, <br />and in no case shall it be less than one (1) year on the entire apparatus. All other warranties as <br />outlined in these specifications shall be provided in writing as a part of the bid package. Failure <br />to provide the warranties as outlined throughout these specifications shall be cause for <br />rejection of the bid package. <br />BID BOND <br />Bidder shall supply a bid bond in the amount of 10% of the proposed price. The bid bond shall <br />reference the warranty coverage and terms on the face of the bond. The bidder's bonded <br />warranty shall extend to the chassis and body, regardless of the manufacturer. <br />Proposals received from bidders who do not manufacture the chassis shall provide a warranty, <br />which shall be issued jointly and severally by, and signed by, both the bidder and the chassis <br />manufacturer. <br />Page 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
