Bidder <br />Triple Combination Pumper Specifications for the 38 Complies <br /> <br />City of Elk River Minnesota Yes No <br />DOORS~ SIDE COMPARTMENT <br />All hinged compartment doOrs shall be lap style with double panel construction and shall be a <br />minimum of 1.50" thick. To provide additional door strength, a "C" section reinforcement <br />shall be installed between the outer and interior panels. <br />Doors shall be provided with a closed cell rubber gasket around the surface that laps onto the <br />body. A second heavy-duty automotive rubber molding with a hollow core shall be installed <br />on the door framing that seals onto the interior panel, to ensure a weather-resisting <br />compartment. <br />Ail compartment doors shall have polished stainless steel continuous hinge with a pin diameter <br />of .25", that is bolted or screwed on with zinc plated fasteners. (Hinges which, are welded on <br />shall not be acceptable.) <br />Ail door lock mechanisms shall be fully enclosed within the door panels to prevent fouling of <br />the lock in the event equipment inside shifts into the lock area. <br />Doors shall be latched with recessed, polished stainless steel "D" ring handles and FMVSS <br />approved locks. <br />To prevent corrosion caused by dissimilar metals, compartment doOr handles shall not be <br />attached to outer door panel with screws. A rubber gasket shall be provided between the "D" <br />ring handle and the door .' <br /> <br />COMPARTMENTATION~ REAR <br />A roll-up door compartment above the rear tailboard shall be provided. <br />Interior dimensions of this compartment shall be approximately 40.00" wide x 54.13" high x <br />25.88" deep in the lower 45.25" of height and 15.75" deep in the remaining upper portion. <br />Depth of the compartment shall be calculated with the compartment door closed. <br />A louvered, removable access panel shill be furnished on the back wall of the compartment. <br />Rear compartment shall be open into the rear side compartments. <br />Clear door opening of this compartment shall be approximately 33.25" wide x 45.25" high. <br />Closing of the door shall not require releasing, unlocking, or unlatching any mechanism and <br />shall easily be accomplished with one hand. <br />DOOR(S)~ REAR COMPARTMENT <br />All roll-up door(s) shall be of brushed anodized, double-faced, aluminum construction. <br />Lath sections shall be a driven ball and socket design and shall be individually replaceable <br />Page 38 <br /> <br /> <br />
