City Council Nfinutes <br />August 4, 2008 <br />. Coundl-Updates <br />oundmember Motin provided an update on the meeting of the Housing and <br />Redevelopment Authority meeting. <br />Page <br />Mayor Klinzing indicated she received notification that Elk River slid not lose LGA fanding <br />with the recent change in the LGA formWa. . <br />. Staff Uadates <br />Ms. Johnson stated that National Night out is Tuesday, August 5, 2008. She provided an <br />update of activities. <br />. Johnson indicated the City received information from LMCIT on purchasing additional <br />insurance coverage for the Republican. National Convention joint Po gree .gree, ent UPA) <br />She explained that staff feels the coverage provided by St. Paul as part of they'.. is more <br />than adequate. The Council concurred. <br />Ms. Johnson stated that staff expects to receive the landfiU expansion application this fall. <br />She questdoned if the Council is interested in having Hoisington Koeigler complete a brief <br />study on the i�r�pact of the e. pansion on the su. sounding area. Count consensus was to <br />move forward Nvith the study. Ms. Johnson stated she Nvill come back with proposals. <br />Funding sources for the study were discussed, <br />Mr. Gongoll indicated that staff is addressing issues with non-compliance in regards to pool <br />enclosures for in -ground pools. He explained here are Bendy six properties that are in <br />io adon of the ordinance, Mr. Gongoll indicated steps are being taken to brig the <br />properties into comphance. Iteras noted that a locking cover does not meet the <br />requirements of the ordinance. <br />.
