nRAFT
CIP FINANCES
LANDFILL FUND
2/95
A $.65 per cubic yard surcharge on mixed municipal solid waste disposed of
at the landfill has been collected by the City and placed into reserves for
needed projects. This surcharge has been collected since about 1989. How
much money is generated by the surcharge fluctuates as the level of activity
at the landfill fluctuates. The funds for the City Hall and Library projects
are built into the bond repayment schedules. The Street funds can be
reapportioned at City Council discretion. In addition to the $.65 that goes
into the three reserves, another $.10 flows into the City General Fund budget
that is annually approved by the City Council.
LIBRARY ($.10)
Revenue (Annual Amount)
The Library bonds are scheduled to be paid off
in 2006.
CITY HALL {$.35)
Revenue: (Annual Amount)
The City Hall bonds are scheduled to be paid off
in the year 2010.
STREETS ($.20)
1/95 Balance (Cash) -Approx.
1995 Revenues (Annual Amount)
1995 Expenditures:
1/2 of 221st Avenue
General Fund Transfer
BALANCE
Available for other 1995 and beyond projects
Possible Streets Projects:
Dodge/5th Street
Old Township Roads
Railroad Drivel3rd Avenue
3rd and Gates
$ 19,000
$ 66,000
$170,000
$ 38,000
$ 65,000
25 000
$118,000
Concord Street
Naples Street
Liquor Store Road
C~

•
Page 4 of 13
