Economic Development Coordinator Task Force Update <br /> <br />The City Administrator Pat Klaers updated the Council on the position profile for <br />the Economic Development position as recommended by the Economic <br />Development Coordinator Task Force. The City Administrator indicated that the <br />Task Force has recommended a title change to "Director of Economic <br />Development" for the position. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE TITLE CHANGE FOR THE <br />POSITION OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR TO "DIRECTOR OF <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT." COUNCILMEMBER FARBER SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />6.1. WWTP 1995 Annual Report <br /> <br />The Wastewater Treatment System 1995 annual report was presented by Darrell <br />Mack, WWTS Superintendent. <br /> <br />6.2. Administration 1995 Annual Report <br /> <br />The Administration 1995 annual report was presented by Cig/Clerk Sandra <br />Thackeray. <br /> <br />OPEN MIKE <br /> <br />Dwight Kirkeide, 11230 173rd Ave. NW, approached the Council with the following <br />concerns: <br /> <br />· Failure of the Cig/to acknowledge 173rd Avenue, as a street <br />· Improper garbage and recycling services <br />· Improper assessment for nonpayment of garbage and recycling services <br /> <br />Mr. Kirkeide submitted documents to the Council regarding these issues. It was the <br />consensus of the Council to authorize staff to review these issues and to update the <br />council in a couple of weeks. <br /> <br />8. Other Business <br /> <br />Councilmember Scheel requested the Council to adopt a proclamation <br />recognizing the 50th Anniversary of the Elk River/Rogers VFW. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER SCHEEL MOVED TO ADOPT A PROCLAMATION HONORING THE <br />50TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ELK RIVER/ROGERS VETERAN'S OF FOREIGN WAR, POST <br />5518. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />Councilmember Dietz indicated he has had a request to extend the 4 year <br />connection period for the Westwood Subdivision to hook up to utilities.
