Special City Council Meeting <br />March 12, 1996 <br /> <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />Mike Niziolek, handed out information regarding the biological qualities for <br />Woodland Trails Park. <br /> <br />Bob Bowersox, 13431 Country Road 32, stated he feels the citizens voices are <br />not being heard. Mr. Bowersox recommended approving what the Steering <br />Committee proposed and stated that the City should work with our sister cities <br />and townships. <br /> <br />Dan Shelic, Crime Prevention Specialist, Minneapolis Police Dept., informed the <br />Council of the statistics regarding an increase Jn "stranger" (non-resident) traffic <br />which may create more crime. <br /> <br />Mayor Duitsman recommended the Council study the comments and have a <br />future worksession. <br /> <br />Mayor Duitsman closed the public hearing at 9:26 p.m. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holmgren expressed his concerns and stated the Council needs <br />citizen involvement not at the end of the project, but at the beginning. <br /> <br />Councilmember Scheel stated she was anxious to hear her neighbors <br />comments. <br /> <br />Councilmember Father appreciates Scott Brobecs comments, supports moving <br />forward with the Transportation Plan, and hopes more people step forward. <br /> <br />Adjournment <br /> <br />There being no further business, COUNCILMEMBER FARBER MOVED TO ADJOURN <br />THE MEETING. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION.
