Plan Identifies Long-range Project Phasing and h~terim Projects The final set of long-range projects were prioritized. A potential implementation schedule was developed in the event that Mn/DOT is able to secure additional funding, as follows: · Short-Term 2002 - 2010 Medium-term 2010 - 2018 · Long-term 2018 - 2025 Interim projects were also identified that could be implemented in partnership with the cities and counties along the corridor prior to the implementation of the long-range projects. They include removing lane drops to provide roadway continuity; access management such as eliminating private driveways, closing medians, and developing a supporting roadway system; and operational and safety improvements that include median left-turn lanes, intersection street lighting, and revising traffic signal tin'ring. Where Are We? What's Next? Currently, the Draft Corridor Management Plan (Plan) is out for review and comment. The cities and counties are in the process of developing resolutions in support of the Plan to submit to Mn/DOT. The exceptions are issues that will need a continuing dialogue until resolution is reached. The next step is to finalize the Plan, which is scheduled for completion in May 2002.
