TO: <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />Pat Klaers <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />Phil Hals, Street/Park Superintendent <br />October 23, 2002 <br /> <br />Custodian Update <br /> <br />After the resignation of Sue Herrboldt it has been the consensus of the Staff that the <br />City building custodial services need reorganization. <br /> <br />Sho~ Term · Interview cleaning services for City Hall, the Lion's Center and the Library. <br /> · City employees that now occupy City Hall and Lion's Center help with daily <br /> needs such as dumping waste baskets and dusting their own desks. <br /> · WWTP personnel do daily boiler inspections at City Hall. <br /> · Street/Park Department personnel help with building maintenance issues <br /> whenever possible. <br /> · Street/Park Department supervisors will coordinate outside contractors for <br /> building maintenance needs. <br /> · Custodian Al Pudlick continue to do cleaning in all buildings. <br /> <br />Mid-Term <br /> · Hire a cleaning contractor or two to do City Hall, the Library and Lion's <br /> Park Center. <br /> · Custodian Al Pudlick continue to clean the Fire Station office, Waste Water <br /> Treatment Plant office, and Street/Park Department office, Business <br /> Incubator and Emporium. Do heavy floor maintenance such as stripping, <br /> waxing, buffing, etc. at City Hall and Lion's Center. Any other available time <br /> could be used as a park laborer or shop laborer with the Street/Park <br /> Department. <br /> · All cleaning supplies and paper product be requested by department heads <br /> and ordered by Sara in Street/Park Dept. <br /> <br /> <br />
