City Council Minutes <br />October 14, 2002 <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />Page 5 <br /> <br /> Staff Updates <br /> <br /> The City Administrator provided the following staff updates. <br /> <br />A. Sue Herrboldt, building maintenance/custodian, has resigned. The City is looking at <br /> the possibility of hiring a building maintenance employee at a later date but in the <br /> short term will be pursuing a cleaning contract. <br /> <br />B. Filling the position of the part-time CaNe TV Employee is on hold until the budget <br /> is finalized. <br /> <br />C. Snowmobile issue will be discussed at the October 21 meeting. Staffis arranging for <br /> traffic control. <br /> <br />D. R.C. Rolloff letter from MPCA. <br /> <br />E. City-owned Lamm House - transitional housing project is moving forward. <br /> <br />F. Candidates forums - cable TV playback schedule of the forums was distributed. <br /> <br />G. Tax information has been provided in the City Administrator's info memo. <br /> <br />H. Boys and Girls Club Fund Raising Issues - City is proposing to rent the Boys and <br /> Girls Club gymnasium on weekends which would provide a source of revenue for <br /> the Boys and Girls Club. It was the Council consensus to authorize staff to pursue <br /> renting the facility. The City Administrator noted that this would be an increased <br /> expense without revenue. This item will be on the October 28 agenda. <br /> <br />I. Smith house is gone but clean up is needed. Discussion was held regarding the <br /> unpaid fine of about $10,000.
