Case No. CU 07-25 -Public Hearing Reviewed by <br />Action Requested <br />After the Planning Cotmmission public hearing, Stoneworks recognizes that there are concerns related to <br />the sandblasting operation, in addition to the already understood noise and hours of operation concerns. <br />Stoneworks desires to fully understand Councils concerns before proceeding with plans to address those <br />recently raised. Stoneworks has requested the Council table formal action on the request after the public <br />hearing and Council discussion, with the intention of coming back to the Council in October. <br />Summary <br />Stoneworks is requesting a CUP to memorialize and confirm the operations of their business. In 2005, a <br />CUP was granted allowing the business to operate. Over the last several months, staff has received a <br />number of complaints from one property owner regarding noise and hours of operation. The CUP does <br />not specifically regulate the hours of operation, nor does it say whether ox not work can be performed <br />outdoors. While discussion during the meetings did include the location of outdoor functions, there was <br />no condition imposed. <br />The Planning Commission recommended approval for the Conditional Use Permit memorializing the <br />operations parameters fox Stoneworks: <br />Hours: general operation 6a to 6p, 7 days per week <br />Hours: outside operation 7a to 6p M-N, 8a to Sp S/S <br />Outside operation to uiclude cutting sandblasting, power washing. Outside operations shall <br />be completed in an enclosed area to meet ox exceed regulatory standards. <br />And subject to 2 conditions: <br />1. Payment of application and review fees <br />2. All other conditions as previously imposed: <br />1. The existing access from Highway 169 can not be utilized by this facility. The <br />proposed connection to the existing driveway shall be eliminated from the site plan. <br />2.
