Service delivery - continue Coon Rapids' tradition of excellent service delivery. <br /> <br />. Quality schools - partner with the school district to ensure quality education and safe learning environments. <br /> <br />"Sustaining high quality services requires ongoing attention and investment in each of these areas," the report <br />states. <br /> <br />And while the responsibility for ensuring quality schools lies with the school district, "it is incumbent on the city to <br />partner with the school district to ensure that our schools continue to be recognized for their quality programs and <br />services," according to the report. <br /> <br />The meetings and survey identified transportation and facilitating development/redevelopment as the two most <br />important issues facing the city of Coon Rapids in both the short term and long term. <br /> <br />Following transportation and development and redevelopment, the other top priorities, in order of voting, were <br />housing opportunities, preservation of open space and recreation opportunities, support for aging population, civic <br />involvement and public discussion, community identity arid focal point and cultural diversity. <br /> <br />The Decision Resources phone survey of 460 residents taken in March 2005 found very few complaints about life <br />in Coon Rapids. <br /> <br />The city ranks very high with its residents and also in comparison with other communities, according to the survey. <br /> <br />The vast majority of respondents thought Coon Rapids to be either an excellent or good place to live.
