WI" will continue to work with the <br />City of Elk River, Sherburne County, and Anoka County m an effort to reach a solution <br />that is agreeable to all that are involved. <br /> <br />", <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />Lot Size / Densitv <br /> <br />The minimum lot size allowed in Burns Town~hip in the Rll1'al Resit!ential Agriculture <br />district is two and one half (2 I~) acres. The maximum Qe~i dty allowed is one lot per five <br />(5) acres. There are no other resiclential zoning districts tha t would allow for .smaller lot <br />sizes or increased density. The Township Planning and ZOlling Commission has <br />indicated that there are no plans for a future municipal seWI ~r collection ant! treatment <br />system, and therefore they do not foresee the minimum lot i lize or the maximum density <br />ch~ging significantly in the future. <br /> <br />The Planning and Zonhlg Commission discussed this appliration at their November 28, <br />2006 meeting. The commission respectfully requests that !lfleasures be taken to the extent <br />possible to provide a "transition area" near the Bums To~ship / Elk River border. More <br />specifically, the Planning and Zoning Commission requests that larger lot sb;e::;/decreased <br />density be provided near the Bums Township / Elk River bllrder. <br /> <br />We appreciate the opportunity to provide our comments on this application.
