<br />3rd Quarter 2006 Report <br /> <br />. Landfill/Mining <br />- State approved the Landfill Environmental Impact Study. Elk River Landfill is still <br />negotiating purchase price with Tiller Corporation. <br />- The Malmstrom property west of Proctor Road at the 200th Avenue alignment has <br />started the process of neighborhood meetings, and eventually seeking approvals in early <br />2007 for mining operations. <br />- Energy Issues Conference scheduled for Apri120 - 21, 2007 at Twin Lakes Elementary <br />School with Paul Douglas as the keynote speaker on Saturday, Apri121, 2007. <br /> <br />. City Council/Boards/Commissions <br />- The Planning Commission conducted a special workshop hearing for temporary signs <br />and will be looking at proposed ordinance changes. This item will be submitted to the <br />Gty Council in October. <br /> <br />. Building Reviews <br />- 230 single family residential permits issued to date. <br />- Recently issued commercial permits: <br />. M&IBank <br />. Caribou Coffee <br />. Chipolde <br />. Briggs Freeport building including Natures Dry Cleaning <br />· Cemstone <br />. Elk River Landfill office <br /> <br />. Complaints <br />- Staff has been handling the usual summer issues of long grass and similar types of <br />complaints. Staff has also sent out a letter to an individual who may be violating a home <br />occupation permit and we will be dealing with this within the next 30 days. <br /> <br />.
