Each section of the code that is violated must be <br />listed and copies ofthe.applicable code must be attached to the cover letter. <br /> <br />( 11) Send a copy of the cover letter by registered mail to the facility in question. <br />Copies of the fire code sections need not be sent at this time, but should be <br />available to the person(s) responsible. <br /> <br />(12) Check with the city attorney regularly to keep them informed as to how the <br />situation is progressing until a resolution is reached and the inspection is <br />completed. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />DOCUMENTATION: Throughout the entire inspection procedure, complete n.~~ords <br />shall be kept. All re-inspections shall be noted on the back of the initial inspectionfonn. <br />A route card shall be kept by each inspector to verify all inspections. A record shall be <br />kept of any notification sent by mail on the back of the original inspection form. After the <br />inspection is completed, all documentation shall be filed for future reference. <br /> <br />DISTINCT HAZARD: If at any time a facility or a situation is determined by the Fire <br />Department to create a distinct hazard, it must be corrected immediately or AS.AP. <br />( depending on what the hazard is). The person responsible at the facility should be made <br />aware of the situation, the correction required, and the time frame. <br /> <br />In the vent of a distinct hazard occurring and the owner/manager refuses to take the <br />necessary steps to correct the problem, the Fire Marshal or inspector shall keep the Fire <br />Chief aware of the situation. At this point, the Police Department might have to be <br />contacted to issue a ticket or the city attorney can be contacted for assistance.
