<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />numbers in the survey results do not tell the whole story and <br />these figures need to be discussed more thoroughly for a <br />complete understanding of the situation along East Highway 10. <br />This is an agenda item that can be done at any meeting, but <br />again is related to the plant expansion project. <br /> <br />Assessment Manual - As discussed a number of times in 1993, <br />the Assessment Manual needs numerous updates and a complete <br />re-evaluation of all of the assessment policies and <br />procedures. This will be a very time consuming and complicated <br />topic. Staff will need at least a few hours to review how <br />things are done and what the Assessment Manual states. At a <br />subsequent meeting, after considering all of the issues, we <br />will need another few hour discussion with the Council on the <br />changes that are desired. <br /> <br />A joint City Council/School Board meeting has tentatively <br />been scheduled for 1/24/94, however, the Mayor is out of town <br />at this time and we may need to reschedule this meeting to <br />1/31/94 if this is acceptable to the School Board. <br /> <br />We need to schedule a joint meeting with the County Board to <br />discuss issues of mutual concern and, specifically, the status <br />of the fairgrounds and the County ditch system. <br /> <br />a holiday, and hopefully a ClP worksession, the <br />should call a special meeting for Tuesday, <br />do the February Building and Planning public <br /> <br />As 2/21/94 is <br />City Council <br />2/22/94, to <br />hearings. <br /> <br />Typically during the winter, the City Council has a joint <br />meeting with the Planning Commission and with the Park and <br />Recreation Commission. I am not sure about the length needed <br />for the joint meeting with the Planning Commission, but I know <br />that the joint meeting with the Park and Recreation Commission <br />will take a full evening. Also, as the Library expansion <br />project moves forward, the Council may want a joint meeting <br />with the Library Board to discuss and review this project. <br /> <br />Over the past few years, there has been periodic discussion <br />regarding the need for a City Council meeting with the Council <br />or Boards of our neighboring communities. This includes Big <br />Lake Township, the City of Ramsey, and the City of Otsego. <br />Typical issues of discussion at joint meetings relate to park <br />and trails, compatible land uses, the transportation system, <br />and overall development issues. <br /> <br />Attached for your information is a draft of the January, 1994 <br />calendar. <br />
