WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT <br /> <br />We have completed the design report which is being submitted to the MPCA. We are <br />beginning the process of preliminary design for the improvements. We will then follow <br />with final design. We would anticipate the design process lasting the remainder of this <br />year and into the beginning of 1994, at which time the plans and specifications will be <br />submitted to the MPCA for review and comment. Once they are approved, the project <br />can be advertised for bids. After bids are received, construction is expected to begin in <br />late 1994 or early 1995. <br /> <br />15. COMPRRHRNSIVE TRANSPORTATION PLAN <br /> <br />The City Council has previously reviewed the draft of the Comprehensive Transportation <br />Plan. Based on City Council direction, we have completed sketches of road alignments <br />for a couple of the proposed road improvements contained within that report. Whenever <br />appropriate, we are prepared to discuss those with the City Council and, after that, will <br />be able to finish the fmal report. <br /> <br />16. COMPREHENSIVE DRAINAGE PLAN <br /> <br />We are currently working on completing the draft Comprehensive Drainage Plan. That <br />plan should be available for City Council in June. After review of the draft plan, we will <br />then put it into [mal form. At that time, we will have to discuss proceeding with <br />improvements in the drainage area east of Trunk Highway 169. <br /> <br />17. ELK PARK CENTER <br /> <br />We are in the process of reviewing the submittals for the Elk Park Center development <br />and preparing comment letters relative to the public hearing scheduled before the Planning <br />Commission in June. <br /> <br />18. TRUNK WATERMAIN TO NEW WATER TOWER <br /> <br />This item is one that has not been formally brought before the City Council to authorize <br />plans and specifications, but, within the next several weeks, we will be before the City <br />Council asking for authorization to begin work on plans and specifications to connect the <br />new water tower and well in the northeast part of the City to the existing water system <br />which currently ends in Hillsides Estates Phase 1. <br /> <br />000-2604.may <br />
