Marvin Morvig, James Keyser, and Danceland, Inc. - Zone Change Request <br /> <br />Marvin Morvig and Norman Kamaro were present for this request. Their main con- <br />cern is being able to rebuild if something happens to their buildings. Mr. Mor- <br />vig O\VllS the Elk Motel and has been in business for 11 years. Mr. Morvig said <br />he was under the impression he was zoned Commercial as per County rule in 1977 <br />but found out differently. Mr. Breezee stated that a portion of Mr. Morvig's <br />land would be too narrow to build commercial or residential on. Mr. Keyser o\vus <br />a house between Mr. Morvig and Danceland and would like it zoned Commercial. <br />Septic systems were then discussed. There are three accesses to the properties. <br />Mr. Morvig \vculd be allo\ved in C;~3 under conditional use permit and Danceland <br />would be permitted under principal use under a C-3 zone. Mr. Cornelius OtVUS the <br />property to the west of Elk Motel and had submi~ted plans for a subdivision, but <br />this has since expired. Mr. Breezee consulted the City Planner, who said be- <br />cause of the contour of the land and amount of land there, he would see no prob- <br />lem to rezone as long as the zone does not exceed any further west than Mr. Mor- <br />vig's property. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER BUSCH MOVED TO APPROVE THE ZONE CHANGE A}ID LAND USE AMENDMENT RE- <br />QUEST FOR MR. THE MOTION PASSED 3-1. <br /> <br />Co~~issioners Tracy, Busch, Pearce, For; Commissioner Driessen abstained. <br /> <br />6. Ordinance Re-definition <br /> <br />Mr. Breezee presented the Commissioners with a memorandum for the re-definition <br />of the home occupation ordinance. <br /> <br />Section 8, Page 30 - The Commissioners felt this section was too flexible, but <br />after an explanation by Mr. Breezee, it was accepted. <br /> <br />Section 20 - This section was accepted as \rritten. <br /> <br />Section 20, Page Three - This section was accepted as \rritten. <br /> <br />a) The footage being omitted was discussed. Mr. Breezee explained this <br />would be regulated by C.U.P. requirements. It was then accepted. <br /> <br />b) Accepted as written. <br /> <br />c) Accepted as written <br /> <br />d) Accepted as written. Mr. Breezee mentioned the reason for this change <br />was to allow elderly couples who have 4-5 (nurses or aids) coming to <br />their home. <br />
