Com~issioner Fox agreed. ~tr. Johnson <br />said they were looking to the future and should be ready for it. Also, it <br />1vould leave the R-l until later. r~yor Madsen stated the State of ~linnesota <br />would fund a half million dollars on the sewer. Co~missioner Fox stated why <br />not consider the entire area now as a PUD. ~~yor ~fudsen said there are four <br />or five o~mers and they may not be ready to plan the whole area. Commissioner <br />Rootes said it could be zoned PUD, ending on County Road #30, and include <br />the whole area all the way to the lake. Co~missioner Tracy said he would like <br />to see it PUD. Co~missioner Lucas said we could start the PUD, 1330 feet (\ mile) <br />from the drawn line to 1330 feet (~mile) north of County Road #30, and leave <br />the rest as R-1B. ~tr. Johnson stated one Oviller does not have the 20 acres <br />required. Commissioner Fox said it was done in other areas. ~tr. Johnson said <br />that will have to be changed. COID~issioner Fox said perhaps we should see how <br />the present PUDs vTork out before designating more. ~tr. rfiddaugh commented <br />on that there might be undue stress on forcing people to buy 20 acres in order <br />to develop the PUD. t~yor Madsen suggested that the staff take this matter <br />up with the attorneys. t~. Johnson said he would get back to the Planning <br />COnLrnission \.Ti th revised maps. <br /> <br />~~p 8e - lf~yor ~~dsen said that it also does not meet the 20 acre test. <br />Commissioner Fox was concerned about industrial on two sides. I~. Gary Santwire <br />had a question on the co~mercial, ~ way to Third street. This area is already <br />zoned C, so he assumed 532 and 534, on Third street being in co~rnercial zone can <br />be zoned. <br /> <br />Page 3, Item #23 - correction. <br /> <br />Page 3, Item #24 - ttr. Middaugh explained page 40 1-b, of the ordinance. <br /> <br />Items #1 and #3, discussed on letter dated July 11, 1980 to ~tr. Middaugh from <br />I'1r. Di ck No\,rlin. <br /> <br />Item #1 - Commissioner Rootes asked if offices would be allowed in I-I areas. <br />Co~rnissioner Fox stated that Instant Tops only desired a highway location, not a <br />particular area. COID~issioner Lucas stated property might not be available on <br />the eastern end of Highway #10 or it might be too expensive. Commissioner Fox <br />felt the City should not cater to one individual.
