THE MOTTON CARRIED 6-0. <br /> <br />Di scussi on on 1992 PaJ::J:L-11!lJlrOv~JRents <br /> <br />Pat Kl aers expl ained that the City Council had appropriated $25,000 <br />from park dedicati on funds and :lil0, 000 from the Capital Projects Fund <br />for park improvements with the request that the Park and Recreation <br />Commission allocate about $15,000 to the park in the Deerfield IV <br />Addition. <br /> <br />Pat Klaers stated that the meeting date for March falls on Ash <br />Wednesday and it was the consensus of the Commission to meet on 3/11/92 <br />instead. Pat also stated that the City Council would 1 ike to have a <br />joint meeting with the Park and Recreation Commission in March or April <br />to discuss Lake Orono boat traffic, City Hall development and other <br />issues. He will coordinate the meeting date and inform the Commission <br />later. <br /> <br />Phil Hals went over the list of park improvements with the Commission <br />and explained that it is early in the season and it might be well to <br />allow the Commissioners a month to consider the items and maybe return <br />with some other recommendations to add. It was the consensus of the <br />Park and Recreation Commissioners to reconsider the park improvements <br />list next month. <br /> <br />1iQating R~)l~tions <br /> <br />Phi 1 Hals presented a copy of the current boating regulations for Lake <br />Orono. After a brief discussion, it was the consensus of the <br />Commission to contact Dave Anderson, of the Sherburne County Water <br />Patrol, for a recommendation on what jet ski rules to be added and that <br />this be the only change in the boating regulations at this time. <br /> <br />10. Area Wide Recreation Director <br /> <br />Phil Hals informed the Commission that interviews were taking place <br />Wednesday, 2/5/92 and Thursday, 2/6/92 for the posi tion of Area Wide <br />Recreation Director. After much discussion, it was the consensus of <br />the Park and Recreation Commission that the hiring committee should be <br />allowed to offer a higher wage rate if needed to secure a capable <br />person for the position. <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />Park Improvement Grant <br /> <br />Phil HaIs discussed with the Commission his 1/27/92 meeting with the <br />Community Development Official in St. Paul regarding a park improvement <br />grant. The application will be completed this spring, reviewed and <br />revisE,d this summer and submitted in August. Al1 indications are that <br />
