8 <br />11.2 Employees shall not take their Rest Break or Lunch Break during the during the first or <br /> last hour of their shift. <br />11.3 Summer work schedules are set solely at the discretion of the Chief. <br />ARTICLE 12. OVERTIME <br />Non-exempt Employees will be compensated at one and one-half (1½) times the Employee's <br />regular rate of pay for hours worked in excess of 40 hours per week. <br />12.1 Paid holidays, bereavement leave, vacation, compensatory time, sick leave, and ESST <br />when used consistent with Employer sick leave, shall be the only non-workdays with <br />compensation considered for purposes of computing overtime compensation. <br />12.2 Changes of shifts do not qualify an Employee for Overtime under this Article. <br />12.3 Overtime will be distributed as equally as practicable. <br />12.4 Overtime refused by Employees will, for record purposes under Article 12.3, be <br /> considered as unpaid Overtime worked. <br />12.5 For the purpose of computing Overtime compensation, overtime hours worked shall <br /> not be pyramided, compounded, or paid twice for the same hours worked. <br />12.6 Overtime will be calculated to the nearest fifteen (15) minutes. <br />12.7 Employees have the obligation to work Overtime or call backs as requested by the <br /> Employer unless unusual circumstances prevent the employee from so working. The <br /> minimum call back will be two hours. <br />ARTICLE 13. INSURANCE <br />The Employer shall provide the same health insurance and other insurance benefits available <br />to non-union employees. Employees shall receive the same insurance contributions and <br />benefits as the City's non-union employees. <br />ARTICLE 14. UNIFORMS <br />The CSO II/Evidence Technicians and Investigative Analyst shall be credited with an annual <br />uniform allowance account to be used on a voucher system basis. All items charged to the Employer <br />must receive prior approval of the Chief. The amount charged shall not exceed the outstanding <br />balance in the Employee’s uniform allowance account. <br />The annual uniform allowance amount will be as follows: <br />CSOII/Evidence Technician - $700 per year. <br />Investigative Analyst - $250 per year. <br />Page 70 of 111
