The program is allocated $14.5 million in grant funding for eligible <br />applicants to install solar energy generating systems of up to 40 kW on publicly owned and operated buildings. <br /> <br />The application process is open until December 1, 2025, or until all funds are committed, whichever occurs <br />first. Applications will be reviewed as they are received. <br /> <br />Grants will be awarded for up to 70% of the project costs for a solar array built on or adjacent to a public <br />building, and is the lesser of 40 kW system capacity or 120% of the building’s annual energy consumption. <br />Grants combined with the Federal grant may cover up to 100% of the cost of the project costs. <br /> <br />Financial Impact <br />Unknown until a grant award amount is known. The city can choose to accept the grant or not based on the <br />award amount and installation quotes obtained. <br /> <br />Mission/Policy/Goal <br />Meet changing needs - agile. <br /> <br />Attachments <br />1.
