<br />______________________________________________________________________________ <br /> <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />a new content management system and IT staff report that our site has improved its <br />security rating. <br />• Following the National Information Solutions Cooperative’s (NISC) Member Information <br />Conference, communications and customer service staff are working with the <br />administrations director to enhance the SmartHub user experience through improved <br />branding, updated language, and other refinements with the help of NISC. <br />• The Minnesota Clerks and Finance Officer Association’s Record Retention Task Force <br />met on October 15 to continue its review of the General Record Retention Schedule for <br />Minnesota Cities. The group is researching necessary updates to the schedule in <br />preparation for a future edition publication, with Tony being assigned the utilities- <br />focused portions of the schedule. The retention schedule is a reference for municipal <br />staff across the state, providing data privacy classifications and record retention periods <br />to maintain best practices and statutory compliance. The task force’s recommendations <br />are reviewed by a panel consisting of the attorney general, state auditor, legislative <br />auditor, and the director of the Minnesota Historical Society for final approval.
