UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br />TO: FROM: <br />ERMU Commission Sara Youngs – Administrations Director <br />MEETING DATE: AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br />September 9, 20256.1b <br />SUBJECT: <br />Staff Update <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />None <br />DISCUSSION: <br /> Office walk-in traffic for August consisted of 139 customers, averaging 35 per week over <br />the four-week period. <br /> ERMU disconnections forAugust. September will be our last month of disconnections <br />before the Cold Weather Rule begins. <br />o Cycle 1 – 18 disconnections. <br />o Cycle 2 – 10 disconnections. <br />o Cycle 3 – 16 disconnections. <br />o Cycle 4 – 9 disconnections. <br /> Currently there are five active residential solar photovoltaic projects planned or under <br />construction in the ERMU service territory. <br /> Advanced Metering Infrastructure efforts continue to demand significant attention, with <br />a strong focus on communication and coordination to schedule the remaining electric <br />and water meter replacement appointments. <br /> Customer service representative interviews are ongoing. <br />The credit and collection specialist has started the 2024 assessment process, customers <br />will start to receive assessment letters mid-September. <br /> I will be attending the National Information Solutions Cooperative’s Member <br />Information Conference in Louisville, KY, September 22-25, 2025, along with the lead <br />customer service representative, communications coordinator, and IT/OT technician. <br /> Staff has begun gathering data for the upcoming cost-of-service study. <br /> IT staffing is back to one person with the departure of our summer intern.
