REQUEST FOR QUOTES (RFQ) <br />Pond Dredging Services — Municipal Stormwater Pond <br />City of Elk River <br />Project Name: <br />Dredging of Municipal Pond - Approx. 0.45 Acres <br />Pond Location: 690 DODGE AVE NW ELK RIVER, MN 55330 <br />Project Overview <br />The City of Elk River is requesting quotes from qualified contractors for the dredging of one <br />(1) municipal stormwater pond. The pond is approximately 0.45 acres in surface area. The <br />goal of this project is to remove accumulated sediment, restore pond depth and function, <br />and ensure compliance with local and state stormwater standards. <br />Scope of Work <br />The selected contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, permits, and <br />incidentals necessary to perform the following work: <br />■ Mobilization and demobilization <br />■ Sediment excavation and removal from the pond (approx. 0.45 acres in size) <br />■ Dredging is anticipated to occur to a depth of approximately 1.5 to 2 feet, or until the <br />original pond bottom/virgin soils are reached <br />■ Proper dewatering of the pond prior to and during excavation <br />■ Sediment handling, hauling, and disposal in accordance with applicable regulations <br />■ Adherence to sediment reuse guidelines as identified in the attached AET sediment <br />testing report <br />■ Erosion and sediment control throughout the project duration <br />■ Restoration of all disturbed areas, including grading, seeding, and installation of <br />erosion control blanket <br />■ Maintenance of erosion control until 70% vegetation establishment <br />■ Acquisition of all applicable permits required for work <br />Sediment Testing <br />Sediment testing has been completed by American Engineering Testing (AET). A summary <br />of results and allowable reuse/disposal options is attached to this RFQ. Contractors shall <br />utilize this report in planning their excavation and disposal methods and include all <br />associated costs in their quote. <br />Quote Requirements <br />Contractors shall provide pricing as follows: <br />Page 93 of 104 <br />
