Page 34

To limit potential effects on the Northern Long-Eared Bat, other bat species, and migratory
songbirds, consideration will be given and efforts will be made to limit tree clearing during
months when birds and bats are not nesting or reproducing.

Tree survey was not required, but it is anticipated that mature trees within the wooded hillslope
will be preserved to the extent possible. Similarly, impacted wetland areas if applicable will
either be mitigated for onsite by creating additional habitat, or banking credits will be purchased
from a local bank that has similar created/restored habitat. Much of the western lower cultivated
field will be left as open space with a connection to the greenway corridor. The greenway
corridor is a contiguous natural area, creating a connection to the open space for birds and
animals.

If rare/endangered species are identified during the construction/operation of the
development, it will be reported to the MnDNR Nongame Wildlife specialist.

31 MnDNR Ecological Classification System.
