He <br />has the qualifications, experience, motivation, and <br />work ethic to effectively manage and coordinate each <br />project phase. Jason will provide close coordination <br />with the City of Elk River, Sherburne County, MnDOT, <br />and project partners. He will be responsible for <br />overall team management and all schedule, cost, <br />public outreach, and scope management processes. <br /> <br />Kasey Burns, PE <br />Kasey is a transportation senior project engineer at <br />Bolton & Menk where he has been a vital contributor <br />since 2018. With a passion for water resources <br />engineering, Kasey specializes in transportation <br />drainage projects, municipal improvement projects, <br />and comprehensive studies. As the drainage lead on <br />various projects, he uses his expertise in hydraulics, <br />hydrology, and permitting to develop sustainable <br />solutions that address the complexities of water <br />management. Water plays a central role in people's <br />lives, and he is dedicated to ensuring that it is <br />managed effectively and responsibly. <br /> <br />Justin Schmidt, PE, LSIT <br />Justin is a transportation project manager who began <br />his profession in 2005. He takes pride in the work he <br />does and the fact that each of our projects improves <br />the communities where we live and work. Justin is <br />experienced with detailed roadway design, plan <br />production, grading and drainage design, quantity <br />computation, and utility coordination. He leads the <br />transportation work group's CAD standards team <br />ensuring the group is using and trained in the most <br />recent standards and Bentley software. <br /> <br />Zach Schopf, EIT <br />Zach is a transportation design engineer whose <br />professional career began in 2018. He is responsible <br />for preliminary roadway and intersection design <br />layouts, performing traffic operations and safety <br />analysis, preparing construction cost estimates and <br />construction plans and specifications, and performing <br />construction observation. Zach is passionate about <br />his work because of the impact it has on the safety, <br />sustainability, and aesthetics of the communities he <br />works in. <br /> <br />Mike Larson, PE, PTOE, RSP1 <br />Mike is a transportation senior project engineer who <br />began his career in 2016 and has worked alongside <br />Jake since day one. He is a jack-of-all-trades engineer <br />with deep knowledge of all things traffic, from <br />microsimulation, signal timing, signing and striping <br />design, staging and traffic control, to safety analysis <br />and multimodal performance and safety. Mike is our <br />traffic practice area leader, and his fingerprints are on <br />many of the traffic study work that comes through <br />Bolton & Menk. He is passionate about finding right- <br />sized solutions that can actually be implemented and <br />make an immediate difference in people’s lives. <br /> <br />Derek Arens, PE <br />Derek is passionate about serving the public and <br />takes pride in enhancing the safety and quality of the <br />communities he serves. As a transportation senior <br />project engineer, he is responsible for preliminary <br />and final roadway design layouts, cost estimates, <br />specifications, and assembling construction plans. <br />Derek began his career in 2011 and has all-around <br />experience from concept design to construction <br />delivery. His design knowledge spans from retaining <br />walls to trails to access management. He specializes <br />in roundabout design and has a history of <br />geotechnical experience. Derek enjoys bringing our <br />clients’ visions to life with the 3D design aspect of <br />roadway design technology. He is an expert in <br />software such as MicroStation/GEOPAK, OpenRoads, <br />and Site/Corridor Modeler. <br />Page 266 of 309
