<br /> <br />U S 1 0 & 1 6 5 th J -T u r n I m p r o v e m e n t s | E l k R i v e r B O L T O N & M E N K | 4 <br /> <br />7.2 Field Staking <br />Survey crews will complete field staking on the <br />following features: <br />• Construction limits <br />• Grading <br />• City utilities <br />• Curb and gutter <br />• Signage <br />• Storm Sewer <br />• Miscellaneous infrastructure features <br />• Street lighting <br /> <br />7.3 Construction Observation <br />The CPR will be on-site full time during the various <br />stages of construction to observe and review the <br />quality of work. Our proposed CPR, will be MnDOT <br />certified and has extensive training and experience <br />performing construction observation on similar <br />projects. The CPR will perform the following tasks: <br />• Provide day-to-day construction observation and <br />coordination between contractor, city, and <br />affected businesses and property owners <br />• Maintain daily construction logs <br />• Prepare monthly pay requests <br /> <br />Task 7 Deliverables: Copies of meeting notes, change <br />orders, shop drawings, materials lists, supplier's lists, <br />and pay requests, field stakes and documentation of <br />all survey points installed, Inspection notes, photos, <br />and other field records. <br /> <br />Task 8: Project Close-Out <br />8.1 Final Project Review <br />We will walk the site with project stakeholders and <br />identify any punchlist items that need to be <br />addressed. Punchlist items will be reviewed until <br />acceptable by the city. <br /> <br />8.2 Record Drawings <br />Bolton & Menk will combine a record plan survey and <br />all field information prepared by the city's <br />construction observer, contractor, and <br />subcontractors for use in preparing record drawings. <br />This information will be used to edit the design <br />drawings used for project construction. <br /> <br />Task 8 Deliverables: Punch List, The record drawings <br />will be provided in electronic (Adobe PDF) format for <br />printing (if necessary) and archiving. One 11”x17” <br />final hardcopy set will also be provided. <br /> <br />Task 9: Alternate Services <br />9.1 Signal Addition <br />If the ICE Report finds signals are needed at the 165th <br />Avenue intersection as well as the south U-Turn, and <br />MnDOT approves the installation of these signals on <br />US 10/169, we will complete the addition of these <br />signal designs into the Level 1 Layout, Designs, and <br />final construction. <br /> <br /> <br />Geotechnical Testing Services <br />Soil Borings <br />Bolton & Menk will work with the City selected <br />geotechnical firm coordinating soil borings and a <br />geotechnical report for pavement and utility design. <br /> <br />Field Testing Services <br />Materials testing will be performed by the <br />geotechnical consultant retained by the City in <br />accordance with the MnDOT Schedule for Materials <br />Control. <br /> <br />Deliverables: Geotechnical Report, Material testing <br />reports, laboratory analyses, and required <br />documentation to fulfill state aid construction testing <br />requirements. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Page 263 of 309
