<br /> <br />U S 1 0 & 1 6 5 th J -T u r n I m p r o v e m e n t s | E l k R i v e r B O L T O N & M E N K | 3 <br />5.1 Final Design Plans <br />Bolton & Menk will produce detailed comprehensive <br />construction plans that are legible and constructible. <br />Construction plans will be prepared to meet MnDOT <br />state aid requirements. This task includes preparation <br />of applicable plan sections such as <br />• Title sheet <br />• General layout <br />• Statement of estimated quantities <br />• Tabulations <br />• Typical sections/construction details <br />• Existing conditions and utilities plans <br />• Removal plans <br />• Construction and grading plans <br />• Intersection details <br />• Drainage plans <br />• Traffic control plans <br />• Turf establishment and erosion control plans <br />• Signing and striping plans <br />• Lighting plans <br />• Cross sections <br />5.2 Plan Submittals (60%, 95%, 100%) <br />We will submit final design plans and other <br />documents for review at the following stages of <br />completion: <br />60% Plan Review—Submittal to include topography, <br />utility plans, profiles, alignments, intersection <br />layouts, drainage plans, typical cross sections, <br />preliminary utility relocations, and engineer’s <br />estimate <br />95% Plan Review—Submittal to include complete <br />plan set, specifications, and engineer’s estimate <br />Final Plan Approval—Submittal of final design plans, <br />specifications, and engineer’s estimate for <br />approval and signatures <br />5.3 Cost Estimates (60%, 95%, 100%) <br />Bolton & Menk will prepare a detailed engineer’s <br />cost estimate at each plan submittal. Quantities and <br />costs will be split by project areas, <br />participating/non-participating items, and funding <br />sources. <br />5.4 Specifications and Bidding Documentation <br />We will prepare and assemble bidding documents <br />including project specifications, instructions to <br />bidders, bid proposal form, labor/wage requirements, <br />and MnDOT state aid attachments. <br /> <br />Task 5 Deliverables: 60% plans, 95% plans, 100% <br />plans, specifications, cost estimates, advertisement <br />for bid <br />Task 6: Utility Coordination <br />6.1 Gopher State One Call Coordination <br />Gopher State One Call coordination will be completed <br />to confirm utility owners and locations provided in <br />the topographical survey. Any maps and private <br />utility information we receive will be shared with the <br />City. <br />6.2 Utility Coordination <br />Our team will identify all private/public utility <br />locations, and any necessary relocations or <br />adjustments for <br />the project. We will follow the MnDOT utility <br />coordination process. <br /> <br />Task 6 Deliverables: Private utility relocation plans, <br />utility tabulations, utility meetings <br /> <br /> <br />Phase 3: Construction <br /> <br />Task 7: Construction Services <br />We will complete the construction services needed <br />for the proposed improvements consistent with City <br />and MnDOT state aid requirements, and in <br />accordance with all state laws, rules, and regulations. <br /> <br />7.1 Construction Administration <br />The project manager will perform the following <br />construction administration responsibilities: <br />• Run preconstruction meeting <br />• Perform on-site review pertaining to work and <br />progress as needed <br />• Run weekly progress meetings as needed <br />• Prepare change orders and written directives <br />• Review shop drawings, material lists, and <br />suppliers <br />• Review and approve pay requests <br /> <br />Page 262 of 309
