<br /> <br /> 31 <br />June 2025 <br />236096v1 <br />Utilities Employment Policy and Benefits Coverage <br /> <br />The Utilities’ normal policies and procedures (for example, computer use, data practices, <br />respectful workplace, outside employment, etc.) apply to employees working remotely. <br />Employees should ask their supervisors if they have any questions about whether or how a <br />particular Utilities policy applies to a remote work environment. <br />An employee working remotely is generally covered by the Utilities’ Workers' <br />Compensation insurance while acting in the course and scope of employment and must <br />report any injury to their supervisor as soon as possible. <br /> <br /> <br />27. FAIR PAY POLICY <br /> <br />Elk River Municipal Utilities (referred to in this Fair Pay Policy as the “Employer” or the <br />“Utilities”) is committed to fair compensation for its employees as explained in this Fair <br />Pay Policy. Specifically, it is the policy and practice of the Utilities to accurately <br />compensate employees and to do so in compliance with all applicable state and federal <br />laws. The Utilities will never knowingly fail or refuse to pay an employee the full amount <br />of compensation to which they are entitled by law for work performed on behalf of the <br />Utilities. <br />ALL EMPLOYEES <br /> <br />Protection of Employee Rights <br /> <br />The Utilities will protect the right of each employee to receive compensation according to <br />the law. Violations of this Fair Pay Policy, whether by a managerial or non-managerial <br />employee, may result in disciplinary action, if appropriate under the circumstances, up to <br />and including termination of employment. <br /> <br />The Utilities will not tolerate or allow any form of retaliation against individuals who report <br />alleged or suspected violations of this policy or who cooperate in the Utilities’ investigation <br />of such reports. Retaliation is unacceptable, and any form of retaliation in violation of this <br />policy will result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination. <br /> <br />Record Your Time And Review Your Pay Stub <br /> <br />To ensure that you are paid properly for all time worked and that no improper deductions <br />are made, you must record correctly all work time and review your paychecks promptly to <br />identify and to report all errors. <br />The Utilities makes every effort to ensure that its employees are paid correctly. <br />Occasionally, however, inadvertent mistakes can happen. When mistakes happen, the <br />Utilities will promptly make any corrections necessary to provide you with the pay to <br />which you were entitled and as otherwise required by law.
