ERMU Commission Policy – G.4b Information and Support to the Commission <br />______________________________________________________________________________ <br />______________________________________________________________________________ <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />Policies, especially where Commission actions or behavior (individual or collective) are <br />detrimental to the working relationship between the Commission and the General Manager. <br />6.Advise the Commission if, in the General Manager’s opinion, the Commission is unfocused <br />in its work or out of step with ERMU’s strategic framework (vision, core purpose, core <br />values, mission and strategic objectives) as stated in the Authority and Purpose Policies. <br />7. Bring before the Commission in a timely manner as many internal and external points of <br />view, issues and alternatives as the Commission may need to deliberate effectively and make <br />fully informed decisions. <br />8.Bring to the Commission, in support of the Commission’s deliberations and decision-making, <br />the recommendation(s) of management, the rationale for those recommendations, and the <br />process(es) by which those recommendations were developed. <br />9. Present information that is clear, concise, and in a form that differentiates among the <br />purposes for which it is intended (i.e. monitoring, decision-making, business context, <br />education, etc.). (See Agenda Planning Policy). <br />10. Provide appropriate methods and resources for official communications and other functions <br />of the Commission, its officers, committees and independent advisors. <br />11. Communicate and work with the Commission as a whole, either directly or, as appropriate, <br />through its officers and committees. <br />12.
