The consultant has been working closely with city staff and the
downtown plan subcommittee, and the plan is nearly complete. However, the process has resulted in a
recommendation for additional work, which is outside the original scope provided by Bolton and Menk. This
includes a section focused on construction phasing for recommended improvements to Main Street and
Jackson Avenue. This has been a very important topic for the group as they work to minimize impacts on
downtown businesses during the planned street, sidewalk, and utility work in downtown.
The developer has requested a budget increase of $3,000 to complete this additional work. Staff support the
request and recommend approval by the council.
Financial Impact
The project was included in the CIP and the additional cost would be paid for from the same fund.
Mission/Policy/Goal
Support the growth and development of the community.
Responsible for every dollar - good stewards.
Attachments
I .
