Members present were Darrell Mack, <br />Rolfe Anderson, Ken Nelson and Marlon Glines. <br /> <br />Previous meeting's minutes.were read and approved. <br />Treasurer's report was read and approved. <br /> <br />Darrell moved and Ken seconded a motion to authorize <br />the payment of $103.17 to Connnunity Education to <br />cover the 1/3 bus costs associated with the <br />Excursion Club activities. Hotion carried. <br /> <br />Ken moved and Darrell seconded a motion to authorize <br />the payment of $91.37 to Connnunity Education to <br />cover the 1/3 bus costs associated with the <br />. Family Ice Follies trip of March 28, 1981. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Darrell moved and Marlon seconded a motion whereby <br />all copying, mailing, etc. costs associated with a <br />specific recreational activity would be charged to <br />the subject activity and not to the general Board <br />account. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Old Business: <br /> <br />A. Debbie Scharber and Randy West of the Gymnastics <br />Program visited with the Board for the purpose <br />of. explaining the 1981 Program and what the <br />objectives of the Program are. The handling of <br />the Program's books by the Board is becoming <br />rather complicated due to annual turnover of <br />Program organizers and the large number of checks <br />for deposit from participants. The Board <br />suggested that the Program set up its own bank <br />account to minimize account questions. Other <br />programs receiving Board support maintain their <br />own books and the Board members feel that this <br />practice is preferable. In addition, a list of <br />Program participants and addresses will be supplied <br />to the Board.. <br /> <br />13. <br /> <br />John Barth of the Elk River Hagen's basketball <br />team appeared before the Board regarding a request <br />for funding to offset some of the costs associated <br />with the team's travel to the national tournament <br />in St. Louis. After much discussion and debate, <br />two motions were voted upon. Marlon moved and <br />Darrell seconded a motion that the Recreation Board <br />
