Dickinson <br />Division Goal <br />Promote health and wellness for all fire personnel <br />Goal Objective/Task <br />Implement a risk assessment for the city to identify what the risk reduction program should be focused on. <br />Expand the reach of our community risk reduction program through the development and implementation <br />of programs that enhance community outreach, reduce false alarms, and protect the vulnerable <br />population. <br />Utilize the Fire Academy for the continued development of our current and future firefighters. <br />Improve outreach and recruitment to fill staffing needs. Monitor event coverage/response. Study types of <br />response and identify means to decrease response costs. <br />Enhance the newly implemented Officer Development Program to ensure we are meeting the goals of <br />developing our current firefighters into future officers and leaders. Create a leadership program for all <br />officers, that will develop and build their abilities as leaders. Succession planning. <br />Provide consistent health and wellness throughout all facilities and apparatus. <br />Have a full allotment of exceptionally trained fire fighters <br />Ensure adequate coverage throughout the entire fire <br />district. <br />Continue to develop and enhance current and future <br />leaders of the organization. <br />Reducing call volume and enhancing community safety <br />Plan the department needs for firefighter staffing and <br />response matrix.Complete a staffing study and assess the need for full time staffing. <br />Page 12 of 68
