��i <br />Elk River <br />Municipal Utilities UTILITIES COMMISSION MEETING <br />TO: <br />FROM: <br />ERMU Commission <br />Sara Youngs —Administrations Director <br />MEETING DATE: <br />AGENDA ITEM NUMBER: <br />February 13, 2024 <br />6.1b <br />SUBJECT: <br />Staff Update <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />None <br />DISCUSSION: <br />• Office walk-in traffic for January consisted of 113 customers, averaging 29 customers per <br />week over the 4-week period. <br />• ERMU red tag notification count for January under the Cold Weather Rule. <br />o Cycle 2 —14 red tag notifications and 2 disconnections. <br />o Cycle 3 <br />— 20 red tag notifications and 1 disconnection. <br />o Cycle 4 <br />— 16 red tag notifications <br />o Cycle 1— <br />32 red tag notifications and 4 disconnections. <br />o Cycle 2 <br />- 10 red tag notifications and 1 disconnection. <br />• Rates for 2024 have been reviewed and updated for the February billing cycle. <br />• During the month of January 2024, the customer service team entered 51 payment <br />arrangements with customers. During January 2023 there were 69 payment <br />arrangements. <br />• Currently there are seven active residential solar photovoltaic projects planned or under <br />construction in the ERMU service territory. <br />• In the last 30 days, combined the level two charger located downtown and in the <br />parking lot in front of ERMU had 25 sessions and provided customers with 534 kWh of <br />green energy. <br />• Billing specialist participated in Meter Data Management Systems training (MDMS) <br />offered by National Information Solutions Cooperative (NISC). MDMS will incorporate <br />Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AM]) data which will improve business efficiencies <br />and customer support. <br />Page 1of2 <br />155 <br />
