Assists in operating and maintaining ice resurfacing equipment. <br />f. Assists in identifying and correcting ice surface defects. <br />g. Takes initiative to perform other duties or assume other responsibilities. <br />Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities/Minimum Qualifications <br />❑ Knowledge of proper maintenance procedures. <br />❑ Ability to deal with the public in a courteous and efficient manner. <br />❑ Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. <br />❑ skilled in safe operation of hand and power tools and building maintenance equipment. <br />❑ Ability to work independently and prioritize work. <br />❑ Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, vendors, <br />and the public. <br />❑ Ability to comprehend, calculate, problem solve, and consult relevant sources and manuals. <br />❑ Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb, crawl, stand, bend, reach and manipulate <br />objects and equipment requiring manual dexterity as needed to perform duties. <br />❑ Ability to perform strenuous physical labor under adverse environmental conditions. <br />❑ Ability to lift 50 pounds. <br />❑ Knowledge of the practices, procedures, equipment, chemicals, and materials used in the <br />facility. <br />Minimum Qualifications <br />❑ Valid Minnesota driver's license or ability to obtain within 1 year and good driving record. <br />❑ High school diploma or equivalent. <br />❑ One year building maintenance experience or related field. <br />Preferred Qualifications <br />❑ -Experience in ice arena operations. <br />❑ -experience in the custodial field. <br />Page 2 <br />Facility Maintenance assistant <br />
