City of Elk River <br />Facility Maintenance Assistant <br />lv=� <br />ver <br />Position Description <br />Department: Immediate Supervisor: <br />Multi -purpose Facili I FacilirY Maintenance Supervisor _ <br />Pay Grade: FLSA Status: Last Updated: (date) <br />$??.?? per hour Non-Exem t 11 /2023 <br />Positions Supervised: <br />N/A <br />Position Summary <br />The Facility Maintenance Assistant is responsible for performing custodial duties to ensure a <br />clean and safe environment for customers, in addition to ice and facility maintenance tasks <br />Essential Functions <br />1. <br />Performs routine cleaning activities in and around FT Center. <br />a. <br />Cleans building as scheduled. <br />b. <br />Maintains all floors to include vacuuming, carpet cleaning, sweeping, mopping, <br />buffing, and waxing. <br />c. <br />Cleans windows, walls, and baseboards. <br />d. <br />Washes sinks, mirrors, hardware in restroorims and other areas, and sanitized <br />restroom facilities. <br />e. <br />Empties garbage and recycle containers. <br />f. <br />Set up and take down chairs, tables, etc., for meetings. <br />2. <br />Performs minor interior and exterior maintenance and repair services. <br />a. <br />Performs painting of areas that have been worn, damaged, or repaired. <br />b. <br />Makes minor repairs as directed by supervisor. <br />c. <br />Reports any damage or deficiencies to supervisor. <br />d. <br />Assists with minor carpentry. <br />e. <br />Assist with other general minor repairs. <br />f. <br />Assists with changing filters, cleaning coils and condensers in HVAC units. <br />3. <br />Performs light duty ground maintenance. <br />a. <br />Clears snow from parking lots, sidewalks, and entrance areas to the facility. <br />b. <br />Picks up litter from the grounds. <br />c. <br />Assists with repair to irrigation system. <br />4. <br />Performs the coordinating of cleaning supplies and monitoring cleanliness of facility. <br />a. <br />Spot clean as necessary. <br />b. <br />Maintains cleaning equipment (vacuums, buffers, polishers, etc.) <br />c. <br />Maintains product inventory of towels, toilet tissue, soaps, light bulbs, and other <br />necessary supplies, equipment, and parts. <br />d. <br />Performs custodial duties to assure a clean and safe facility and grounds. <br />5. <br />Performs other essential job duties. <br />a. <br />Regular and timely work attendance. <br />Page 1 <br />
