The
maps are called Community-Panels to determine if properties and structures are in designated
flood areas.

The survey of Gospodor's Orono Lake Addition NO.1 identifies the ordinary high water elevation
of Orono Lake as 871.5 feet. The 1 OO-year floor elevation is 876.7 feet. The floor elevation of
the existing City Hall is 884.5 feet - or eight feet above the 1 OO-year flood line.

The panel below shows some areas adjacent to Orono Lake fall into the 500 - Yr Flood. The
maps displayed on this site should be considered an advisory tool for general hazard
awareness, education, and flood plain management. The flood hazard maps displayed on this
site are not the legal document to be used when making a single site flood hazard
determination.

FiQure 7: Elk River Flood Hazard Boundarv Map

,.,.,- "'.

J

\_-

..,~
( \
LL,
~-=tt---L _L/
-~.
"_ I',
I.
