Its relative position to the <br />commercial developments, Main Street, and Highway No.1 0 place the site more central to the <br />areas traditionally considered as the "downtown." Indicated on the map view as point "B" is the <br />area being developed as the "city center" with municipal services, city hall, police, fire <br />protection, and parks adjacent to Orono Lake. Point "e" is the location of the south site across <br />Orono Parkway from the City Hall. <br /> <br />The Comprehensive Plan, Buildina the Future, adopted August 16, 2004 offers the best guide to <br />future growth, redevelopment, and improvement efforts.
