He noted the (:itrn of Elk River has <br />huge needs. He further thanked Senator I�i�fn�.eyer and Ae�resentative Zen,vas, the <br />Sherburne Caunt�� Baard and staff, anc3 the Chamber of Cammerce I3va�d and <br />businesses. He nQted F�k River has t�vo large carridors with major needs. He stated <br />the first meetin� with MNDC�T Ue�ins this week to determine the schedule, revieu� <br />prelia�unaryT design, connecuons, and effects on property. <br />Representat�ve Zerwas stated he was stunned; nating an award to a single project this <br />size outside the metro district is very significant. He stated the city }�ut in tremendous <br />effort and credit goes to staff, the count��, and chamber. He discussed the short <br />turnaround time. needed to come togcther and drill down on the Highway 1 b9 <br />corridor and commented the cxt}� had a superiar pxoject submittal. He �tated it was <br />very appaYent from the applicacions submitted wluch groups did tl�eir homework <br />and noted there has been some pushbac� azound the state due t� ather needed <br />projects. <br />�auncil thanked Representaticre Zen��as for his support. <br />7. � Ordinance Arnendment: 20 I 8 Master Fee Sthedule <br />Ms. Allard presented the staff xeport. <br />I17ayor Dietz opened the public hearing. There being no one to speak to this issue, <br />I��iayor Dietz closed the �ublic 1learing. <br />Mvved by Councilmember Westgaard and secanded by Councilnnember <br />Olsen to adopt 4rdinance 18-D6 amending the 201$ Master Fee Schedule to <br />add fooc3 truck licensing fees to the City of Elk River, Minnesota, City Code. <br />Motion ca�ried �a-0. <br />8.1 Advisory Group Attendance Policy <br />1��s.
