Open Forum No one appeared for Open Forum. 6.1 City of Elk River Volunteer of the Month Mayor Dietz presented the July Volunteer of the Month award to Chris and Kati Grabrick. He highlighted the following: Started the group HOODLUM (Helping Out Others During Life's Unkind Moments). ■ Their Christmas program adopted 76 families/individuals with help during the holidays. ■ Raised more than $32,000 in 2021 to assist 15 families at Christmas with gifts, rent payments, and bills. ■ Assist with parking at Thumbs Up event. ■ In 2019 they helped fillmore than 20,000 sandbags for Otsego flooding. ■ Helps with Lions Pancake breakfasts. ■ Organizes other HOODLUM events to benefit the Elk River Community. 6.2 Recognition of 30 Years of Service, Police Officer Mike Suchy Police Chief Nierenhausen recognized Office Suchy for 30 years of service.
