COMMISSIONER ROLFE ANDERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> <br />Steve Rohlf recommended that next month the Park and Recreation Commission <br />consider issues of developer costs and trails for recreation and sidewalks, and <br />who pays for these items. <br /> <br />Discussion was held on sidewalks and pathways for the western area business <br />park. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER DANA ANDERSON MOVED TO RECOMMEND THAT THE NON- <br />MOTORIZED PATHWAY ALONG THE SOUTH SIDE OF BUSINESS CENTER DRIVE BE A 10 <br />FOOT BITUMINOUS SURFACE WITH THE SECOND CHOICE BEING 8 FOOT CONCRETE. <br />COMMISSIONER ROLFE ANDERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED <br />7-0. <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />Administrative Subdivision lot Split <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Steve Rohlf introduced the item indicating that due to the lot size and location, <br />staff recommends taking $450 park dedication fees. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER DANA ANDERSON MOVED TO FOLLOW STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />FOR THE $450 PARK DEDICATION FEE. COMMISSIONER ROLFE ANDERSON <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> <br />7. Consider Skatina Pond on 193rd Avenue - Hillside Development <br /> <br />Steve Rohlf spoke about the issue of making an ice skating rink on the <br />sedimentation pond on 193rd Avenue, just east of Highway 169. The issues that <br />staff has raised for this type of situation included the need for toilets, warming <br />house, access for snow removal, equipment, fencing, and water level control. <br />The developer indicated that they will be installing a 4 foot high chain link fence <br />to secure the pond area. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER L1PETZKY MOVED TO DO A ONE YEAR LEASE CONTINGENT UPON <br />STAFF WORKING OUT ISSUES OF ACCESS AND FENCING. COMMISSIONER OLSON <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 6-1. Commissioner Rolfe Anderson <br />opposed. <br /> <br />8. Consider Sharina Community Athletics Information with Hassan Township <br /> <br />Steve Rohlf suggested that as many Park and Recreation Commission members <br />as possible should attend. Commissioners Daleiden, Dana Anderson, and Rolfe <br />Anderson will try to attend along with Steve Rohlf and Jeff Asfahl. <br /> <br />. <br />
