<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />7.4. <br /> <br />LCMR Grant Update <br /> <br />Mike Niziolek was present and reported that the City Council had authorized <br />$40,000 in matching funds for the LCMR Grant proposal that he submitted on <br />February 4, 1994. Mr. Niziolek indicated that the grant awards will be made <br />sometime this summer and that he was optimistic about the outcome. <br /> <br />7.5. Request for a Mountain Bike Course <br /> <br />A resident from another City inquired about constructing a mountain bike <br />obstacle course in a City Park. There was no one present at the meeting to <br />make this request. A brief discussion was held regarding this subject. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER ST. DENNIS MOVED THAT IN THE OPINION OF THE PARK AND <br />RECREATION COMMISSION, THERE ARE NO SUITABLE LOCATIONS FOR A MOUNTAIN <br />BIKE COURSE IN CITY PARKS. COMMISSIONER OLSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />8. Concept for Consideration of Oak Knoll Concession Stand <br /> <br />Jeff Asfahl presented a floor plan for a concession building proposal for the Oak <br />Knoll athletic complex. After a discussion, it was the consensus of the Park and <br />Recreation Commission that Jeff circulate the plan among the youth <br />organizations and see if they have any financial or volunteer support to offer. <br /> <br />9. <br /> <br />Park Capital Improvements <br /> <br />Phil Hals presented a list for capital park improvements for 1994. Commission <br />members requested that items for a 1/2 basketball court for Moldenhauer Park, a <br />trail paving test strip for Lion's Park, and some lighting for Ridgewood East Park be <br />added to the list and that the discussion continue at the March meeting. <br /> <br />10. Other Business/Staff Updates <br /> <br />There were no items presented at this time. <br /> <br />11 . Adiournment <br /> <br />There being no further business, COMMISSIONER DANA ANDERSON MOVED TO <br />ADJOURN THE MEETING. COMMISSIONER OLSON SECONDED THE MOTION.
