. . . 7.4. LCMR Grant Update Mike Niziolek was present and reported that the City Council had authorized $40,000 in matching funds for the LCMR Grant proposal that he submitted on February 4, 1994. Mr. Niziolek indicated that the grant awards will be made sometime this summer and that he was optimistic about the outcome. 7.5. Request for a Mountain Bike Course A resident from another City inquired about constructing a mountain bike obstacle course in a City Park. There was no one present at the meeting to make this request. A brief discussion was held regarding this subject. COMMISSIONER ST. DENNIS MOVED THAT IN THE OPINION OF THE PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION, THERE ARE NO SUITABLE LOCATIONS FOR A MOUNTAIN BIKE COURSE IN CITY PARKS. COMMISSIONER OLSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. 8. Concept for Consideration of Oak Knoll Concession Stand Jeff Asfahl presented a floor plan for a concession building proposal for the Oak Knoll athletic complex. After a discussion, it was the consensus of the Park and Recreation Commission that Jeff circulate the plan among the youth organizations and see if they have any financial or volunteer support to offer. 9. Park Capital Improvements Phil Hals presented a list for capital park improvements for 1994. Commission members requested that items for a 1/2 basketball court for Moldenhauer Park, a trail paving test strip for Lion's Park, and some lighting for Ridgewood East Park be added to the list and that the discussion continue at the March meeting. 10. Other Business/Staff Updates There were no items presented at this time. 11 . Adiournment There being no further business, COMMISSIONER DANA ANDERSON MOVED TO ADJOURN THE MEETING. COMMISSIONER OLSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0.
